Hope reSTOREd Celebrates New Location

The grand re-opening of Hope reSTOREd took place on July 11. The store is an outreach ministry of Manor UMC. The Manor Chamber of Commerce and Rev. Jason Surdy participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony. The Store began in three classrooms of the church’s Education Building in July 2016 and quickly outgrew its first location.

Members of the church totally remodeled and made the building into a bright and welcoming location to help Manor ISD families in need. The volunteers replenished the church’s run-down parsonage and with new coats of paint, flooring, and lighting.  Each room of the building is dedicated to a specific theme; including women’s, men’s and children’s clothing.  The kitchen area displays household items that have been donated to the organization.

Hope reSTOREd serves families from 4pm to 6pm on the first, third and last Wednesdays of each month.  The Store also accepts donations of gently used, clean clothing of all sizes; as well as household items such as small appliances, lamps, dishes, pots and pans, sheets, blankets, and towels.

Potential donors may contact Nancy at (512) 925-1813 to schedule an appointment to bring donations.
