During the 2026 Rio Texas Annual Conference, voting members considered and approved two resolutions addressing issues of welcome, dignity and equal protection.

The first, Allegiance to Christ in Solidarity with Immigrants, affirms the conference's immigrant-serving ministries and the commitment of Rio Texas churches and ministries to stand with and welcome immigrant, Indigenous and non-white individuals, families and communities.

The second, Supporting Gender Inclusivity, Equal Protection, and the Sacred Worth of Transgender and Non-Binary People, calls for nondiscrimination policies inclusive of gender identity and expression and affirms equal protections within the life and ministries of the conference.
