The Rio Texas Disaster Response Team is already in action responding to the latest storms and flooding. Close to 1000 flood buckets are being distributed in Gruene, San Marcus, Onion Creek and Bastrop County.
Later today, Gene Hileman, Rio Texas Disaster Response Coordinator will lead a teleconference later today with disaster coordinators from the Rio Texas districts and members of the Rio Texas Conference staff.
If your church already has an Early Response Team, register your team now to assist with the immediate response. Registration for individual trained Early Responders will be posted soon.
This latest flooding comes on the heels of severe flooding in the Rio Grande Valley where there is still much recovery work underway. We will continue to provide more information as it becomes available.
