You are invited to join us for an important conversation with Rev. Carlos Zamora, Hispanic Ministries Coordinator for the Rio Grande Valley in the South District. Rev. Zamora will provide firsthand insight into how Hispanic congregations in the Valley are being affected by ongoing ICE raids—particularly in the colonias, where many residents live with heightened fear due to undocumented status. In one community, this situation led a mission to suspend its regular worship services for nearly six months. During this gathering, Rev. Zamora will discuss how the ministry of accompaniment has supported these congregations through consistent presence, encouragement, and essential resources. Carlos Zamora, Coordinador de Ministerios Hispanos para el Valle del Río Grande en el Distrito Sur. El Rev. Zamora ofrecerá información de primera mano sobre cómo las congregaciones hispanas en el Valle están siendo afectadas por las redadas de ICE, especialmente en las colonias, donde muchos residentes viven con un temor constante debido a su situación migratoria.
