A&M United Methodist Church Organist & Traditional Music Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Organist & Traditional Music Coordinator (OTMC) provides principal organ and keyboard leadership for Traditional Worship; accompanies the chancel choir and children and youth choirs; directs the adult handbell choir; coordinates the musical systems and logistics that support the church’s traditional music ministry; and is the primary organist/pianist for weddings and funerals.

A&M United Methodist Church has made a significant investment in sacred music, including the installation of a 79-rank Peragallo pipe organ and renovation of the sanctuary to enhance its acoustics for worship and music. The OTMC serves as the principal steward and performer of this important instrument, using its breadth and capabilities to support congregational singing, choral music, liturgy, and the broader worship life of the church.

Education:
Master of Music in Organ Performance or comparable advanced training or experience preferred.
