South District Administrative Assistant

The South District of the Rio Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church is seeking a full-time District Administrative Assistant.

The District Administrative Assistant (AA) serves as the primary administrative support staff person to the Superintendent (DS) who oversees 60 churches in South Texas. The AA is the first point of contact for the District Office, representing the DS and thereby, the Bishop of the Río Texas Conference (RTC) of the United Methodist Church (UMC). The AA’s work is to support the DS toward fulfillment of the mission the church “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” The position requires learning the structure of the UMC and the RTC to understand and communicate about its programs and resources for the purpose of networking and relay of information.
