Disaster Recovery Area Lead

Position Overview:
The Rio Texas Conference is seeking a Disaster Recovery Area Lead in San Angelo and the Rio Grande Valley to serve as the chief liaison to the assigned area impacted by the 2025 flooding. The Area Lead will provide direct supervision to a case manager in the Conference’s disaster recovery program efforts with survivors. The Area Lead serves as the primary volunteer recruiter and organizer for the area, and will guide the Conference’s decisions on resource allocation and methodology by providing a local perspective and best practices for the area. The Area Lead will work cooperatively with the community or regional long-term recovery organizations and manage direct involvement with survivors’ unmet needs. The position is grant-funded with a duration of 6 months.
