Coordinator of Camping & Retreat / Youth & Young Adult Ministries

The Illinois Great Rivers Conference of The United Methodist Church has reopened its search for a Coordinator of Camping & Retreat / Youth & Young Adult Ministries.

This is a full-time, year-round position assisting the 834 United Methodist churches in the southern 2/3rds of Illinois make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by supervising our entire camping and retreat program and staff – including the maintenance, operation, and improvement of two campgrounds and program oversite of a third – as well as the Youth and Young Adult Ministries of our Annual Conference.

The successful candidate will have a deep and growing Christian faith evident in their life and ability to articulate that faith with staff, campers, and congregations; a passionate heart for camping ministries as evidenced through extensive camp management experience; and a comprehensive knowledge of and proficiency with administrative skills, staff supervision, creating and implementing budgets, and promoting camping.
