Clergy Leadership Vitality serves to resource and support clergy from the time the call is received until retirement. Leadership Vitality begins through the recruitment and nurturing work that occurs in the local church and that is supported by the Districts in collaboration with the Board of Ordained Ministry which works to nurture and qualify persons called to ordained ministry. Leadership Vitality seeks to promote lifelong learning by partnering with the Board of Ordained Ministry to build capacity at the district level to equip pastors to lead churches into the mission field. In addition, the Board of Ordained Ministry works in collaboration with the Bishop and Cabinet with support from Leadership Vitality to attend to the relationship of clergy throughout their practice of ministry, even into retirement.
