Gruene United Methodist Church is seeking a Student Ministry Intern for the Summer or 2024.

With supervision and support from the Director of Student Ministry,

The Student Ministry Intern will:
● Lead programming for summer activities
● Help plan and implement weekly student programs (Five:32, Sunday School, etc.)
● Carry out administrative & outreach tasks (e-mails, phone calls, etc.)
● Challenge students to higher levels of discipleship

The Student Ministry Intern will be someone who:
● Has been out of high school for at least two years
● Seeks a committed relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to setting that example
● Has a passion for working with teenagers and is available to their needs
● Is self-motivated
● Has good leadership, communication and organizational skills

The Student Ministry Intern will:
● Receive a $5,500 salary for the summer
● Be held accountable to their duties by the Director of Student Ministry
● Work from Monday, May 20th thru Sunday, August 11th
● Work an average of 35-40 hours per week, including weekends, overnights, and some evenings
● Assist with Student Sunday School at 9:30am on Sundays
● Attend 11:00am worship each Sunday
● Submit to a criminal background check
● Complete required safety training
