New Beginnings United Methodist Church (www.newbeginningsumc.org), a medium-size (and growing) church in Boiling Springs, SC (near Spartanburg), is looking for their next Director of Youth Ministry. This person would work in partnership with the Pastor, Youth Council and Church Council to oversee ministry that meets the spiritual needs of youth, ages 12 -20 years, that attend New Beginnings as well as those in the community. The director will oversee weekly programming and special events, build relationships with youth outside the church walls, and recruit and equip a team of volunteers.

The director should have a vital, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be committed to living and modeling a godly lifestyle inside and outside of church. S/he should have at least an associate’s degree, experience and maturity in youth ministry, and be a member of the United Methodist Church. This person should also have strong interpersonal skills with youth and adults and a general knowledge of diversity and skills to manage diversity.
