Disaster Recovery Accounting Clerk, San Antonio, Texas
/JOB SUMMARY
The National Voluntary Organization Active in Disasters (NVOAD), through a grant received from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), has implemented a Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) in Texas under a partnership with The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and the Rio Texas Conference. The Disaster Recovery Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting in the fiscal management of the DCMP (Disaster Case Management Program) Case Management Consortium grant from FEMA (80%) and UMCOR disaster recovery grant (20%). The Disaster Recovery Accounting Clerk will report to the Rio Texas Conference Comptroller and the Disaster Recovery Finance Manager assisting to ensure the program/fiscal grant goals and objectives are facilitated. Assisting in the fiscal management of grants includes budget management, processing invoices and accounts payable, project time tracking, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, Conference policies and standards, and grant funding requirements. This is a
grant‐funded position and the duration of the position is determined by the grant and/or funding. The Finance Manager must present a strong desire to serve others and the ability to perform all duties in support of the Conference ministry, mission, and fiscal management of the United Methodist Río Texas Conference and disaster recovery grantors.
