The Director of Communication will be responsible for all outgoing communication to the congregation, community and media which includes all bulletins, newsletters, etc., as well as digital communications such as mass emails, church website, social media avenues, and our upcoming mobile phone “Grace App” (will be rolled out in January). This is a new position.
We are looking for a person with education and/or experience in communication or marketing, with demonstrated skills in written communication across different platforms. Other skills desired are proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, as well as ProPresenter, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, as well as demonstrated knowledge and skill and internet/webpage creation and management with sound proficiency in WordPress, Google Calendar, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other emerging social media outlets.
Grace UMC is located at 14521 Northwest Blvd in Corpus Christi (Calallen area). The position will begin as soon as December 15, 2017 and hopefully no later than January 2, 2018.
