Director of Music Ministries

First United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Director Music Ministries to join our ministry team. First UMC is a vibrant and growing congregation with a rich traditional worship ministry and a growing Contemporary worship community that serves families in the Gonzales area. Gonzales is within one hour from Austin, San Antonio and San Marcos. The successful candidate will have been called and equipped by God to grow disciples of Jesus Christ through developing and implementing the music ministries of First United Methodist Church.

FUMC Gonzales has two Sunday morning services: an 8:30 am traditional worship service led by a chancel choir and a 10:45 am contemporary worship service led by a praise team. Practices for the choir and praise team are held on Wednesday evening. Sunday morning choir practice is 8:00 am to 8:25 am and praise team practice is from 9:45 am until 10:30 am. Keyboard proficiency, guitar knowledge and ability to contribute vocals a plus.
