The Design Team is comprised of enthusiastic clergy and laity from across the Rio Texas Conference. The Design Team along with SBC21 set and assessed guiding values, process for offering a transformational learning model to inspire, enable, and resource historic and predominantly black congregations seeking ministry growth, spiritual vitality, and congregational life transformation.
The Design Team assisted with identifying one or more “Congregational Resource Centers (CRC’s) and en-courage churches to become “Partner Congregations (PC’s). Establishing these relationships benefit a series of church-to-church encounters that are motivational and effective in providing opportunities that facilitate new directions and commitments for mission and minis-try. These encounters and other training events make a significant contribution towards building a deeper understanding among diverse congregations such as large/small and urban/rural. Partnering congregations emerge better equipped to do more effective ministry in multicultural and multiracial mission fields.
