The Rio Texas Conference's safety policy requires all individuals in ministry with children, youth, and vulnerable adults to complete a ministry certification through Safe Gatherings.

This three step process screens, trains, and equips all persons working with children, youth, and vulnerable adults. Certification lasts two years.

Individuals continuing in ministry with children, youth, and vulnerable adults must complete the certification process every two years in order to remain approved for ministry with children, youth, and vulnerable adults. You can find more information about this process at riotexas.org/safesteps

Note: On January 1, 2024 the Rio Texas Conference will launch an adapted certification process. This process will be the exact same for individuals going through recertification or completing certification for the first time. You can find out more at: riotexas.org/safesteps
