The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the Florida Conference, including budget coordination, cash and investment management, central treasury operations, financial reporting and accounting management. The role is also responsible for overseeing the administrative functions, including Human Resources and Benefits, Facilities Management, Information Technology, and Risk Management. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides excellence in the organization, planning, interpretation, training, resourcing for the Conference Churches and Organizations, and implementation of the fiscal matters of the Conference in careful consultation with the Bishop, CFA and the Leadership Team. Responsible for providing leadership for the Center for Connectional Resources, whose goals are to leverage Conference resources effectively, provide services efficiently, and communicate openly and transparently in support of the mission of the Church. The CFO oversees and manages the financial and administrative services of the Conference; clergy pensions; health Insurance for clergy and laity; Conference-wide property and liability insurance, and property matters. The ultimate goal of this position is to foster and support the ministry of the Conference. Through creative and innovative fiscal management and collaborative efforts with other staff and volunteers, resources shall be applied for the benefit of the various mission and ministry goals established by the Conference.
