Church Administrator

Saint John's UMC is seeking a Church Administrator.

Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Hours per week: 18 (Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.)

Purpose of the Position:

  • Provide effective administrative support to church staff.

  • Position reports to Church Administrator.

Objectives/tasks:

  • Greet all who contact the church office.

  • Maintain staff meeting minutes and send our meeting materials as needed.

  • Keep office stocked and organized.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and email.

  • Print bulletins and newsletters for church events.

  • Keep church calendar, databases and worship software up to date.

  • Assist with office volunteer coordination.

  • Assist staff with special projects as needed.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

  • Proficient using Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Collaborative work style in a team environment.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate.

  • Experience providing administrative support.

  • Attention to detail.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience using software Planning Center and Realm.
