Ideal intern candidates will work with Student Ministry staff and volunteers to plan and implement a full year of programming including Sunday Student Connection and Sunday Night Lights, occasional Friday/Saturday mission events, retreats/camps/mission trips, and summer activities, as well as assist in planning of future activities for students entering 6th through 12th grade. Interns will work with leadership in creating ways to reach students, help them form bonds with each other, guide them on their faith journey and help them to be disciples both inside and outside the church walls.

Qualifications:
• At least one year out of high school
• Strong faith in Jesus Christ and regular involvement in ministry/church
• Passion for reaching teenagers and available to meet their needs
• Strong communication skills (social media skills a plus)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Willing to be spontaneous and fully participate in student activities
• An applicant pursuing a career in some aspect ministry is preferred, but not a requirement

Expectations:
• Participate in weekly Student Ministry planning meetings and monthly all-staff meetings
• Assist in leading and facilitating weekly Sunday Student Connection and Sunday Night Lights and prayer breakfast as needed
• Assist in leading and facilitating during retreats, mission trip and summer activities
• Partner with students and leaders to creatively utilize a variety of communications tools (social media, YouTube videos, flyers, postcards, announcements, etc.)
• Engage with students in small and large group settings and facilitate small group discussions
• Assist in planning for year-round programs and events
• Challenge students to reach a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ
• Willing to model the Christian life to students and set an example for future growth

This paid internship position (during the school year) requires approximately 15-20 hours per week on our campus in Boerne, TX. Looking for candidates to join our team immediately!
