Financial Administrative Assistant
/Oak Hill United Methodist Church Austin TX is looking to hire a Financial Administrative Assistant.

Status: Part Time – average of 25 hours per week

Job Summary
Support the mission of Oak Hill by preforming financial administrative functions for the church in order to empower the congregation to serve its mission field.
Essential Functions:
Serves as the initial point of contact for church finances for staff, congregation and vendors inquiries.
Process mail and obtain and review supporting documentation to ensure and preform accurate data entry and recording all financial transactions.
Identify differences in revenue and expenditure patterns and discuss with Supervisor.
Assist in preparing reconciliations, reporting, and distributing financial information.
Maintain and balance subsidiaries, general ledgers, and historical accounts.
Administrative support, including filing documents, making copies, and data entry.
Develop and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university. Experience working in a church or nonprofit ministry a plus.
3-5 years’ experience in administrative, detail oriented work.
The ability to communicate effectively and kindly, both verbally and in writing, and give clear direction.
Strong organizational skills, with a personal attention to detail.
Excellent computer and word processing skills.
History of servant leadership and the ability to work collaboratively with pastoral and non-pastoral staff, lay leaders, and committee chairs.
Exhibits a mature Christian faith and commitment to Christ and the Church.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and carry for 100 feet.
