Karen Distefano, South Central Jurisdiction Volunteer In Missions & Disaster Response Coordinator, will facilitate this training that provides a way to help keep your teams connected to the mission sites where they were going to serve before COVID-19 made it necessary to postpone travel. Called a Virtual Mission, this plan helps teams connect with one another while social distancing, and later, connecting with their local community when it is safe to move about. Virtual Missions also provide a format to tell your local and global mission stories and a means of inviting others to learn as well as support your church’s ministries of mission, service, and justice. Virtual Missions can be powerful tools for team recruitment, discipleship, and evangelism in a local church.
