We are pleased to have Dr. Alyce McKenzie, Perkins School of Theology distinguished professor of Preaching and Worship and Director of the Center for Preaching Excellence, to lead us in a preaching workshop based on her book titled, "Making a Scene in the Pulpit".
In a time of short attention spans and limited biblical, theological knowledge, how do we preach to gain and maintain listener attention, speaking to mind, heart and will? Participants will come to appreciate the power of scenes, biblical, contemporary and historical, to inform the mind, touch the imagination, warm the heart and fire the will. This workshop is designed for all Pastors, CLMs, and any Lay Servant who preach on a regular basis. It will be an interactive zoom webinar with breakout discussion groups, time for questions and breaks.
