Worship Leader
Job Summary:
Fredericksburg United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg, TX is seeking a passionate Worship Leader to join our team. The Worship Leader will be responsible for working with the senior pastor to plan and lead Christ-centered contemporary worship services that engage and inspire the congregation to glorify God. This role requires vocal and musical proficiency, team leading, scheduling and organization skills, and a heart for worship. The position is approximately 6-8 hours per week Evenings and on Sunday. Special services during the year (Christmas and Easter seasons) will also be expected. Playing for weddings or funerals is additional pay.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and lead worship services in collaboration with the senior pastor
Align songs choices to match message and encourage congregational participation
Lead a weekday rehearsal and Sunday Worship at 9am Service
Input songs and liturgy into ProPresenter system weekly
Foster spiritual and musical growth within the worship band and congregation
Qualifications:
A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
3 years of worship-leading experience, preferably in a church setting.
Strong vocal and instrumental (guitar or keyboard) skills.
Ability to lead and develop musicians and vocalists.
Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
A passion for worship and leading others into God’s presence.
Proficiency in or willingness to learn Planning Center, ProPresenter, LightKey, and SoundBoard Software Systems
Hours and Compensation:
Pay: $1,100.00 - $1,300.00 per month
Expected hours: 6 to 8 hours a week
Approximate Weekly Schedule: Tuesday meeting with the pastor, selecting songs and preparing for rehearsal and worship anytime during the week, rehearse with band (day and time TBD by worship leader and band) and Sundays from 8am-10am
