Tarrytown United Methodist Church in Austin, Texas, is seeking an individual with a contagious and catalytic faith to lead our children and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and to equip, encourage, and resource parents to raise their children in the faith. The Director oversees and relates closely with our Childcare Supervisor and Assistant Director, develops ministry with our Children’s Ministry Committee, works to strengthen and support our Children’s Day Out, and recruits and mobilizes volunteers. The Director offers ongoing leadership for weekly worship services, plans and facilitates mid-week bible study groups, shapes opportunities for service, and provides support and encouragement for families. Additionally, the Director works with teams to coordinate Wonderfully Made, plan Vacation Bible School, prepare a children’s Christmas musical, and hold special seasonal events for families in our church and community. The Director is an integral member of the staff and helps to guide and strengthen the overall ministry of the church.
