Assistant Director of College & Young Adult Ministries

University United Methodist Church is seeking a person to assist in designing and developing a consistent ministry presence at UTSA and among college students attending University. This job will also have a role in assisting with young adult ministry activities.

The preferred candidate for this position will be someone who:

- Is able to formulate a clear vision for college ministry and implement that vision with an organized, dependable, and disciplined approach.

- Can work independently and operate as a self-starter, while also being an active and beneficial contributor to the wider goals of the University team.

- Is able to create pathways that invite, welcome, and involve college students and young adults in the life of the congregation.

- Is passionate about creating a ministry that champions authenticity, spiritual growth, and articulation/development of Christian vocation.

- Is adept and interested in establishing relationships and rapport with various student/youth ministries in the area in order to connect with incoming college freshmen.

Additionally, the preferred candidate will have:

- A degree from an undergraduate institution.

- Prior experience serving among college students and/or High School students in a ministry setting.

- Familiarity with The United Methodist Church and its connectional structures.

This is a full time, exempt position. The position includes vacation/sick leave, health and retirement benefits.
