PURPOSE and VALUES:
The purpose of the youth ministry is to love Jesus and love like Jesus. Matthew 22:37-39

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Model a life as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ

• Coordinate with youth director and leaders for the spiritual formation of youth.

• Maintain a spiritual and pastoral care presence with youth and their families.

• Build relationships with students of the Northern Hills Youth Ministry

• Lead youth events and meetings

• Serve on the youth team for Northern Hills UMC

• Lead small group ministry

• Co-plan and lead events for the youth ministry

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Youth Ministry Intern of Northern Hills UMC is a shepherd in our community. This person cares for the spiritual growth of all youth in the area. This position assures a safe and loving environment where students can find God.

This person aligns the youth program with the vision of the church by coordinating with pastors, staff and congregation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• FBI background check

• Basic Computer skills

• Be able to lift 25 lbs.

• Ideally able to run, jump, dance, and participate in different sports and silly events and activities.
