Part-Time Accompanist (Organist is a plus)
First United Methodist Church is seeking an accomplished Part-Time Accompanist (and if possible Organist). Must have demonstrated competency with piano and the ability to work with other program staff persons, remaining flexible in all areas in music ministry and music types. The Part-Time Organist/Accompanist reports to the Part-Time Director of Music Ministries. The incumbent must exhibit excellent moral character, desire to maintain high levels of personal music and performance skills and the ability to understand and contribute to the vision for music and the arts at FUMC. This position must work with the Director of Music Ministries to form a collaborative team responsible for the total music in worship program. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in music (keyboard or organ emphasis), significant experience, or be currently enrolled in a music degree program. An Organist must be proficient in organ technique, musicianship and a supportive accompanist and collaborative artist. Salary: Commensurate.
