The Director of Student Ministries is a dynamic leader who can cast a compelling vision for student ministry at Bethany and work with a broad group of students, adults, and staff to implement this vision and build up this community. This person will model a culture of relational ministry in the areas of discipleship, outreach, and leadership development. They will build meaningful relationships with both students and adults. This person will work with a Student Ministries Vision Team and the Student Ministries Staff to cast a long-term vision for the future of Student Ministries and collaborate with the whole Student Ministries community to implement this vision at Bethany. This person needs to be able to manage a large ministry staff, providing team leadership, mentoring, empowerment, and spiritual nurture. This person will work in collaboration with all of Bethany to align Student Ministries with the overall vision for the church.

Bethany UMC places a high priority on ministering to students and devotes a large amount of resources to this ministry area. We are currently getting ready to move into new space for Student Ministries on our church campus, that will maximize the size and functionality of our meeting and worship space. This is an exciting time for Student Ministries at Bethany that is filled with opportunity for someone looking lead a large ministry program for students. A fairly large youth staff is already in place and ready to work with the new director. 

Start Date for this position is July 1.
